Therapy Approach

With individuals, I’ve been trained in psychodynamic, strategic and cognitive therapies. We can draw on many areas of strength in your life in order to help you grow: Your intellect, your insight, your ability to talk about your feelings and your ability to listen and feel empathy. We will use all your strengths to implement here-and-now, solution-focused strategies in the service of providing you with a healthy life.

For couples, I can offer you the benefits of being an Ackerman Institute Couple’s Therapy graduate where I spent an additional 5 years on a study where we taught couples a variety of strategies to fight less and love each other more.

As appropriate, I’ll discuss adjunctive forms of treatment and make referrals for medication management, self-help or other specialized forms of care.
